Sacred Allies- 3rd Installment Herbs
I can’t believe we are almost 2/3 of the way through our Sacred Allies Series! We’ve had such a beautiful year so far exploring trees and flowers and for the third installment this year, we will look at the herbs whose sole, primary or most popular parts used are the leaves.
Some of the aspects that set this series apart from other herbal classes or courses is the We will focus on each plant’s history, lore, medical and culinary uses. It’s all about the in-depth understanding of each plant and relearning the ways they used to be revered and holding them in that same reverence now.
Each class is as different as the plant itself but we always have a group exercise like a mediation, dance, or yoga exercise that is geared toward a deeper understanding of one action of the plant. We taste some of the plant in tea or food and there is always a product or take home project to help with developing your personal connection to each plant. Oh yeah and the lecture notes and photos and all the discussion. Whew, we pack so much into each month!
