Planting Ceremony 11/4 @ 5:00
Innumerable cultures have a history of helping people surrender themselves to the Mother Earth as part of a reconnection ceremony. Instead of phrasing it as a burial to shed off the old, I tend to look at it as an opportunity to dive deep into and establish a deeper connection to your core, your purpose or to honor your resilience.
Each session is 2 hours. When you arrive, we will create a individualized tea to highlight and invite in the points you wish to honor during your planting. You will enjoy a cup and discuss the intentions of this ceremony. There will be a meditation and then we will “fertilize” the ground with the herbs from your tea and nestle you in the ground in space that is under a crab apple tree, a rose bush and a Maple tree. You will have up to an hour to experience your planting. As you lie in ground, a fire will be kept going and I’ll be on hand to assist you should you need anything from water or to come out early.
Afterwards, we will sit around the fire while drinking a different tea and discussing your experience. Each person will take home a journal to log any thoughts or revelations and a few herbal tools as well.
