The Culinary Allies - Last 5
The Culinary Allies series is held over 10 months. Each class focusing on a specific herb or spice that we explore in depth. This covers the 2nd five months at a discounted price.
We will look at the history, its mark on cultures in medicine, culinary and myth and how it continues to shape and influence all of those worlds even today. Each class will be in person with a full meal as part of the experience.
Classes are
July- 13th Pepper Popped-
The world of peppers- black, green and cayenne!!
August 31st- Camellia sinensis-
The tea leaf is not just for brewing up a cuppa- we’ll look at it’s healing attributes and ways to incorporate it more than just the cup and pitcher in the kitchen!
Sept 14th-Mint- Mania-
The world of the mint family is vast but we will break it down and focus on the plants that we think of as traditional mints.
October Fennel FUN- Oct 19th
This plant has an edible bulb, leaves and seeds making it a wonderful bang for your gardening, kitchen and medicine cabinet buck!!
November - Clove- LOVE- Nov 2nd
one of the most prized spices in history and we’ll explore it’s part in celebrating the season and how it helped shape the globe.
Each class will start at 10:00 and take place in The Empirical Herbalist's Classroom. Lunch and drinks are provided in the cost.
