This name was in my head for years until the perfect recipe finally showed up. This is not your average herbal tea. I wanted something really designed for women of all ages with herbs that are tonic in nature and nourishing but are also noted for their spiritual association and that taste pretty good.
The most predominant ingredient is red rose petals fo their affinity to the heart and all things circulatory. Roses aren’t just a modern symbol of love but are considered by many to be the grandmother of all flowers. They help you receive and give the universal love of the planet.
The second herb used in this tea is Lady’s Mantle, a gentle herb associated with not only the heartbeat of the planet but with the entire heart chakra. It’s used to help strengthen the area of the heart internally and externally. The word mantle refers to the breasts of a woman and it is a popular herb to restore elasticity to breasts after nursing or due to old age in Europe.
Next we have partridge berry, which is used throughout a women’s life but particularly in her youth to help tone the uterus and stabilize hormones. It’s great for anxiety and stress related to hormonal imbalances. *
Added in a little wild violet flowers for their affinity to the heart and as a gentle detoxifier. I think it helps get rid of the old wounds. It’s a mild diuretic and very high in Vitamin C. *
Mugwort****, long noted for it’s work with opening up the dream state, it’s use as an herb to help break up calcification in the pineal gland and having a connection with the moon and the female menstrual cycle. It’s also a great herb to help with unidentified digestive issues, from parasites, diarrhea or constipation, it’s a go to remedy to heal your gut. *
Damiana comes in as a wonderful herb to help us relax and it’s noted as being particularly good for people who never feel “good enough” or lacking. In it’s history, many use it as an aphrodisiac, but in this tea, it’s more about self love. T
here is also a pinch of lavender, the herb most well known for it’s relaxant and nervine ability. It plays well with all the herbs and gives the tea a sweetness it needs. *
And finally there are a few bay leaves to help nudge every plant along. Bay is associated with the head in both spiritual and intellectual ways. It’s a wonderful herb to help connect your brain and your intuition.
**** while mostly considered safe for daily use as it used to be an ingredient in beer, mugwort is an herb that now is considered NOT one to take daily. Most herbalist agree it’s a 7 days on and 7 days off herb.
